Wells' The War of the Worlds is perhaps the most famous novel of its genre. This 1898 story has spawned films, radio and television series and comic-book adaptions, and its popularity endures today.
Der Schrecken, den die Marsianer verbreiten, wird lebhaft und anschaulich dargestellt. Das Buch lässt sich trotz seines Alters und der manchmal etwas gestelzten Sprache gut lesen. Das Ende kommt leider etwas plötzlich und nicht alle Handlungsstränge werden aufgelöst.
La verdad es que leyéndolo con 37 años la historia no me sorprendió, me aburrió bastante. Quizá leyéndolo más joven... Eso no quita que leyéndolo/escuchándolo en su momento tuviera que ser mucho más interesante.
