This was a good read, and I have some trust that it does reflect the mentality of SS officers. Part of this mentality is the complete obscuring of the victims side, which is also an issue with this book, although part of its nature. I also learned more about the efforts by the Nazi regime to hide its crimes, and about the inter-war period in Germany and the SA-SS environment there.
