There's a lot of complains about this book; honestly I enjoyed it quite enough. Didn't feel it was slow (but I was listening to it as an audiobook) and didn't have trouble following allegiances nor the rest of the political schemes.

Ends with a good enough cliff hanger making me want to read the sequel

Wasn't expecting much from this book to be honest.
The beginning is like an Oliver Twist boring story and drags for a wee to long; but right after that it gains pace quickly and goes full speed into fantasy GoT-esque story.

Like quite a lot hope the story is told by multiple characters giving it a different edge without having to retell the same thing from multiple angles but instead moving the story forward all the time

Good book. Keeps you interested most of the time. Perhaps a wee parts could have been shorter but all in all is enjoyable.

Reads like a mix of
- The Slow Regard of Silence Things
- The name of the wind
- To kill a mockingbird
- The Crucible
- And a pinch of: Brokeback Mountain

Ok-ish book. It is somewhat ruined by the incessant need to portray the US as the best country in the world with the best army, intelligence and "freedom" and how Russia is crap :/

Feels written in the cold war era

Don't know if it was the book or the audiobook I listen to; but the story felt very bland.

Obviously the idea is amazing but I feel like the execution left me lots to be desired
