Poetry is hard for me

I have a hard time reading poetry, I'm not sure why. Maybe my brain is just so used to reading novels that it takes more effort to switch to a different mode of reading and processing. It always feels like a struggle to get through a book of poetry, but I'm glad I did. Lots of little vignettes revolving around life, prison, choices, and ramifications.
