I just love this series. Big Sky is on par with Case Histories for me. Like every Jackson Brodie book, it has lots of different PoVs, all seemingly only loosely connected, and the closer you come to the finale, the more everything is woven so deftly together, it's a joy. You can pretty much read any of those books as stand-alone story, but if you were there from the start, the call-backs are so wonderful. Go Reggie!
The subject matter is not a joy, and this book should come with tons of content warnings. There's child abuse, sex trafficking, it's all a bit gut wrenching and dark.
But I still loved it so, and really hope there will be another Jackson Brodie novel in my life, one of these days. One where he doesn't hang up on Louise. (Why the fuck do I ship them so hard?)
