Falling angels

This was my idea of a perfect audio book. The well-drawn characters each take turns to speak in the first person which keeps the gripping plot moving at a good pace. The historical period itself is exciting and I particularly like the way Chevalier portrays the immense sense of change in society at the beginning of the 20th century.

I just recently finished reading this. I would say it's a 3.5. I hadn't previously known much about the suffragettes movement, and the end of the Victorian period, so those were the parts I enjoyed most. I probably would have enjoyed it more if the friendship between the two main characters would have made any sense to me, but it totally didn't. In fact, some of the characters were aggravating. Nevertheless, I was entertained alright, I suppose.
