Horrible people live horrible lives

The only likeable character is the daughter. The main character is the worst. The men are both besotted with her for some reason. And the ending will make you throw your ereader (or book) across the room. I will never forgive Jodi Picoult for this. The Egyptian facts are the best thing in the book.
