Sam D reviewed A Physical Education by Casey Johnston
Nice book.
5 stars
So, I'm a big burly man (who hasn't lifted since high school) and this book is written by a woman and feels mostly directed towards women, specifically ones who struggle with, like, feeling like they need to be runners with runner's physiques. There was a bit of this book that I felt like I had to just sympathize with, rather than really empathizing. That said, Casey has me looking to figure out how to fit lifting back in my life in my 30s in earnest, which I suppose the author would call a success. Good read.
