Very space operatic

This is an odd one. It was a bit difficult to get into at first - due to many Korean words and expressions being used. Check out the glossary in the back early on. Overall, I found it captivating but it cranks up its space opera-ness to 11 with perhaps too many tropes and stereotypes at times. It also lacks coherence. The book ends in the middle of the story so you better have the sequel ready. So, in summary, a bit uneven but I was entertained, so 3.5 stars it is.
