Solarpunk is a type of optimistic science fiction that imagines a future founded on renewable energies. The seventeen stories in this volume are not dull utopias—they grapple with real issues such as the future and ethics of our food sources, the connection between technology and nature, and the interpersonal conflicts that arise no matter how peaceful the world is.

Review of 'Glass and Gardens: Solarpunk Summers' on 'Storygraph'

it serves it's purpose as an introduction to solarpunk themes. my hope is that the authors featured have improved their prose since.

go solarpunk

Actually finished this a while ago. One of the things I do love here is the representation. If we're imagining futures we're still living in, let's make sure everyone can see themselves in that through many stories that are specifics, not some vague universal story.

Good mix of stories

It’s nice to read stories of a hopeful future. I enjoyed the short story format where I could read one while I was between other books or when wanting something quick.

Over all a good mix of stories.
