I liked it, good pop sci book, but my buddy Erick Galinkin who is a PhD candidate in AI/ML says it's pretty bunk. So, entertaining, can give you a vocabulary to discuss and explore these topics, but the conclusions as presented are pretty wild.
the idea itself and the implications are very scifi and futurist but the reflection on it seems as much about prediction as it does about the present nature of human society.
