Review of 'Angels & Demons' on Goodreads

The book is okay-ish. The facts are so absurd that I've elected to ignore it - if you read this book and think "Oh, the author is so knowledgeable and attentive to details and match things up perfectly", then you should think again. Check the facts so that you're not misinformed.

One bonus star for the surprising twist, but I'm not sure I'd ever read books like this for a second time.

Review of 'Angels & Demons' on 'Goodreads'

The story was entertaining enough and made me crave a trip to Rome very very badly, but the writing put me off. If Goodreads had half stars, it would be 3.5, because it is a very action-packed story in the end.

But I rolled my eyes plenty of times, because the characters are just way too over the top. Robert Langdon ist the most unscholarly scholar ever, just like Vittoria, etc. If he hadn't gone so over the top with the characters, I would have liked it more, but then, that's probably a bit much too ask in a book that deals with 'Save the Vatican from ultimate destruction in a 4 hour timeframe'.
