Im Alltag passiert es erstaunlich oft, dass wir mit Verschwörungserzählungen konfrontiert werden. Ob mit einem Freund in der Kneipe, der über "geheime Mikrochips in Impfungen" referiert, ein Kollege, der davon überzeugt ist, dass uns die "Lügenpresse" manipuliert oder der Bruder, der die "Pharmalobby" für alle Erkrankungen verantwortlich macht. Wieso ist es so schwer, in einem solchen Moment einzugreifen? Und wie kann es uns gelingen diese Aussagen als Verschwörungserzählungen zu entlarven?
Die Autorinnen stellen in diesem Ratgeber die wichtigsten Tipps und Kniffe zum Umgang mit Verschwörungserzählungen vor.
Das Buch ist ja vor ziemlich genau 2 Jahren während der Covid-19 Pandemie entstanden und hat demnach auch einen starken Bezug dazu. Die meisten Dinge habe ich in der Zwischenzeit auch anderweitig aufgeschnappt. Auf jeden Fall liest sich das Buch sehr flüssig und komplett ohne Längen.

Was ich auch wichtig fand: gegen Ende erwähnen die Autorinnen noch, dass man Verschwörungsgläubige nicht vorschnell und pauschal als "psychisch gestört" abtut, weil man a) sie dadurch z.T. aus der Verantwortung nimmt und b) so auch die weiterhin existente Stigmatisierung wirklich psychisch Erkrankter fördert.
Ich kann mir gut vorstellen, dass es nicht allzulange dauern wird, bis wieder eine besondere (globale) Situation der Unsicherheit aufkommt, wo dann die Erkenntnisse aus diesem Buch passend/anwendbar sind.
