Another great "Rivers" story by Aaronovitch, although it obviously has no appearance of Peter Grant - his cousin Abigail refers to him a lot though. She has an altogether different "voice" as a narrator, and that makes her interesting, although the story itself has broadly the same structure as earlier works. Very well done shorter work, I'd love to read more of Abigail.

ENG: I live in Bielefeld, Germany and I like The Phantastic in general, although I have a preference for weird fiction and sword & sorcery, but that is not an exclusive thing at all. Favourite authors are Ursula K. Le Guin, Fritz Leiber and Neil Gaiman. @moonmoth@dice.camp. // GER: Ich wohne in Bielefeld (DE) und liebe die Phantastik im Allgemeinen, insbesondere aber "Weird Fiction" und Sword & Sorcery, bin aber lange nicht darauf beschränkt. I liked this book so much. It may not be the objectively best of the series (it sure is great), but many parts of it are take place in more rural environments - I have visited places like that and it felt just right. But it has more Beverly and Peter and I like those two together. A lot.

This may be the best book in the series - so far. There are one or two things that I did not expect and consequently hit hard. Quite a few unresolved storylines, but I have faith in Aaronovitch.

Moonmoth reviewed Don Rodriguez by Lord Dunsany

I have to give this one 5 stars, just because I enjoyed reading it so much. Dunsany wrote this in a fun, light tone, in many ways similar to a fairy tale. Perhaps it takes some time getting used to Dunsany‘s unique style, but this charming little book is absolutely worth it.
