This was in my bag of books at world fantasy con 2014. It's hard to describe. It's very atmospheric, languid.

It's fantasy if it were told by the chatelaine, if the chatelaine were also the manor house. I'm glad I read it, but it's the kind of book you really have to be in the mood for.
