Poul Anderson: Tau zero (1970, GuildAmerica Books) 4 stars

Science fiction at its best

5 stars

The book has a bit of a slow start but really gripped after a couple of chapters. It’s a story about humans, their hope, desperation, isolation and relationships. It was refreshing to read a science fiction that captures that, does not divert into war or action, and has a great scientific angle (travelling very close to the speed of light). Loved that it has a mathematical formula in it as well.
