An excellent what-if. The concept of an alternative sexuality paradigm is interestingly explored in Le Guin's book. Of course this alternative paradigm affects every aspect of a society, but Le Guin does not lampshade these changes, always keeping in mind that there are other factors that shape society. The writer lets you explore this what-if world through a not-so-ordinary outsider's lens, immersing the reader into Winter's culture while analyzing it at the same time. Amazing book.
