Hollywood Gothic

Bit of a kitchen sink feeling to this, as it covers in (sometimes excruciating) detail the history of Dracula, first the novel and then the various stage and film adaptations. Some interesting highlights, such as a description of where the title of 'Nosferatu' came from, but too much of the book felt like it was bogged down in the back and forth of negotiations over stage and film rights.

Cubre de manera casi obsesiva tanto el proceso de escritura de Drácula como toda la lucha por adaptar la obra a otros medios - con especial énfasis obviamente en el cine. Sin embargo, una vez cubierto el tema de cómo se llega a hacer la versión de Bela Lugosi - y su contraparte en español - hace un repaso relativamente rápido por las otras versiones y termina.

Me parece muy crítico con la peli de Coppola, por otro lado, que a mi me encanta.
