I am quite stunned by this book. I really enjoyed The Hunger Games and was eager to read more after the cliffhanger ending, and oh boy, did I ever get more. I still thirst for more knowledge about Panem and its history, how it all came to be, but at least I got some more detail on the various districts this time.

What makes Catching Fire so incredible for me are its surprises that just keep you reading and reading. Whereas in the first book it was somewhat easy to see the direction things were headed in, this time it was just one plot twist after the other. I can't say I ever had a dull moment.

I wish I had brought Mockingjay along today, because I cannot wait to read the finale now.

In short, for me this was the best book that I have read in years, entirely …
